In a career spanning over 31 years, Gary Norden has built an international reputation as a trader, consultant, educator, mentor and author.
At only 18 years old, based in the City of London, Gary became the youngest ever trader at one of Japan's largest Securities firms; trading a multi-million dollar derivatives trading book.
During a highly successful career in London, Gary developed a reputation as a skilled and innovative trader and mentor to young traders..
At the age of 23 Gary was appointed Head of LIFFE Options for NatWest Markets and led them to become one of the top 3 Options firms in the market and a major player in the short term interest rate options market.
At ING Financial Markets, Gary traded a large proprietary Convertible Bond book, one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Gary also spent many years trading options and futures with his own capital both in the trading pits on LIFFE and subsequently on computerised platforms.
After moving to Australia in 2003, in addition to his own trading, Gary has taught both private and professional traders from around the world. He also consults to Investment Banks, hedge funds and derivatives exchanges.
In 2020 Gary established the hedge fund NN² Capital.
In 2005 Gary's first book, "Technical Analysis and the Active Trader" was published by McGraw Hill. It exposes the flaws and limitations with technical analysis.
2014 marked Gary's 25th year in the markets and saw the release of his second book, "An End to the Bull" published by John Wiley & Sons. The book offers a frank look at trading and is a must read for all traders.
In 2020 Gary re-wrote his first book as a free PDF called 'Technical Analysis Exposed - Why Most Technical Analysis Traders Lose'
